Sikkim being located in the Himalayan range has a number of exotic destinations and sightseeing destinations. Famous for its serene vibes and rich culture the state is also home to some of the oldest monasteries and temples that attracts devotes from all the places of the world.

Gangtok, the capital city is one of the most favoured places among the travellers of Sikkim. Known for its rich culture and scenic beauty the town is the most populated city of the state. The place is also popular for hosting various musical events and festivals that attract people from all over the place.

Gurudongmar Lake

Gurudongmar Lake is an iconic tourist destination located in the northern part of Sikkim. Nestled in the eastern Himalayan range the lake ranges at an elevation of 17,800 ft and is one of the sacred sites for Hindus and Buddhists. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains the place offers picture picture-perfect view of the lake during summers.

Nathula Pass

Perched at a height of 14,173 ft, Nathula is the highest motorable pass of Sikkim that is popular among mountain bikers. Sharing an international boundary with China the place is a common tourist destination of Sikkim that requires a special permit for visiting the site. The pass also offers a panoramic view of the Himalayan range from the top of the hill.

Ravangla

Ravangla is a picturesque village located at a distance of 69 km from the city of Gangtok. Buddha Park is a major attraction point of this place that is home to a 130 ft gigantic statue of Lord Buddha as a centerpiece. The place is known for its blissful climate scenic beauty of the surrounding dense forest and a glimpse of Mt. Kanchenjunga.

Popularly known as one of the gorgeous cities of Sikkim, Namchi is a popular tourist destination. Samdruptse Hill is the major tourist attraction point of Namchi It is ornamented with a 45m tall statue of Guru Padmasambhava and is a pilgrimage site for Buddhists.

Zuluk, Perched on the ancient Silk route connecting India and Tibet is a famous tourist destination known for its 32 hairpin roads and breathtaking view of the Himalayas. The place is also home to Elephant Lake which is regarded as a sacred site for the people of Sikkim.

Lachen

Lachen, located in the northern district of Sikkim is a beautiful town known for its scenic beauty and sacred monasteries. The town is a popular tourist destination and is also the gateway to Gurudongmar Lake and Tso Lhamu Lakes. The town with its lush vegetation and snow-white hills is also known for apple plantations.

Pelling

Pelling is one of the most famous destinations for tourists and is located in the Gyalshing district of Sikkim. Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple is among the most admired tourist sites located at a distance of 58 km from the city of Gangtok. Green Lake
